  1. I love decluttering, the less stuff the better. Still trying to get my kids onboard though, lol. And it’s the same with budgeting — the less I have to spend money on and the fewer bills I have to pay, the easier it is to manage my finances.

    1. Yes! Exactly. The less stuff, the fewer bills, the simpler it all becomes. And I’m all about simplifying life … especially MOM life!

  2. I hate clutter and stuff (except my books, do not touch my books) but this is so hard when you have to get the whole family on board. Of course, it also feels SOOO good to get rid of stuff when we do a good purge 😀

    1. It really is the best feeling. And yes, I still have to make sure my son forgets about his unused toys before I get rid of them. lol.

  3. I technically adopted the minimalistic lifestyle. But few years on… I have started to create clutter everywhere. It is just insane how quickly things can get out of hand! your post is perfect timing and especially now that I am housebound with the cover-19. Def joining your clutter bingo. Sounds like fun! yaaay.

    1. Oh my goodness. YES things pile up so quickly. It’s kinda like eating healthy or brushing your teeth … decluttering is just something you have to keep doing. And when you don’t … phew! Piles!

  4. Love the idea of de-clutter bingo! Sometimes we have spaces that are unseen and therefore very forgotten (my attic) that could use our attention! I could use that space for so much more if I organized and de-cluttered it. Thanks for the motivation!

    1. Thanks! And yes! All those forgotten spaces … I still need to tackle my attic and finish my garage. I started this journey 10 years ago and have moved three times since then, doing a full home declutter each time, but we STILL have things stuffed away and forgotten in boxes in the attic.

  5. This is such an important point. We are literally paying to hold on to our crap. 😂 When you think of it like that – it’s so much easier to let go.

  6. This was such an interesting post. I’ve been cleaning out my bathroom as well, and found a crazy amount of Bath and Body Works lotions that I loved, used, then made it down to the end and bought another? It doesn’t make sense! I’m trying to go through all of my bath and shower products and use them up, but some are expired. As hard as it is, sometimes you just have to throw those things out and use the guilt you feel to keep from bringing more clutter into your house. Thank you so much for the insight!
